Howl understood that the time had come, and he understood that it would have to. But as he packed his clothes and the little belongings he owned, he could not rid his mind of the simple thought that the time had arrived too soon. He supposed, and he believed that he was quite a logical and levelheaded young man, that it was for the best. He would be sent to the Earth Kingdom. “Pfft, do you know how dumb you look right now?”

Howl could hear her laughing, probably bent over and slapping her knee from the sound of it, but he couldn’t see her due to the mass amount of snow that’d been thrown in his face. Lifting a hand, he pushed it out of his eyes and readjusted his helmet before giving her a playful glare.

“What was that for? Hm? Are you looking for a fight?” He bent to begin rolling a snowball, watching as she grinned and started to make her own in the air before her. “Bending is cheating — c’mon! I’m just a weak little non-bender, don’t you love me?”

Korra was laughing again, losing concentration on her snowball and giving him just enough time for payback. Aiming for the part of her hood that was open below her neck, he threw a perfect strike. “Howl! Seriously…oh, you’re going to get it now.” She was quick with her hands, swirling up a huge pile of snow as his eyes went wide and he tried to hightail it out of there.

But, sadly, there was no beating the Avatar.
